THE BREITLING COLLECTION

SUPEROCEAN

In 1952, Breitling was commissioned by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) of America to create a chronograph specifically designed for pilots. This led to the birth of the Navitimer, a revolutionary wrist-worn instrument enabling essential in-flight calculations such as speed, distance, and fuel consumption.

Its innovative design made the Navitimer an indispensable tool for aviators and a legendary icon of watchmaking. Today, more than 70 years later, it continues to combine tradition with modern innovation, carrying its legacy forward to new generations.

CHRONOMAT

In the 1980s, the Italian aerobatic team Frecce Tricolori was looking for a chronograph combining elegance, durability, and mechanical excellence. To prevent the crystal from being damaged in the cockpit, Breitling protected it with four “rider tabs” that have since become iconic.

Redesigned in 2020 with its distinctive “Rouleaux” bracelet, the Chronomat remains a versatile and legendary timepiece.

PROFESSIONAL

The motto “Instruments for Professionals”, one of Breitling’s most enduring slogans, remains relevant today as in the past. The Professional range offers watches with advanced features, designed for adventurers and explorers.

Among the most well-known models are the Aerospace, launched in 1985 with its intuitive control mechanism and titanium case, and the Emergency, introduced in 1995 with a built-in micro-transmitter for distress signals.

The collection also includes the Exospace B55, Breitling’s connected watch, and the Endurance Pro, a lightweight sports chronograph launched in 2020.

SUPEROCEAN HERITAGE

In the 1950s, the rise of underwater exploration and water sports led to a growing demand for diving watches. It was in this context that Breitling unveiled two innovative models in 1957: an automatic watch (ref. 1004) and a chronograph (ref. 807), both launched under the name SuperOcean.

Inspired by the elegance of ref. 1004, the Superocean Heritage perfectly combines vintage aesthetics with modern technology. Designed to withstand water, it remains a sophisticated accessory, ideal for a stylish day by the sea.

CLASSIC AVI

Inspired by the Ref. 765 AVI Co-Pilot, the Classic AVI collection recalls Breitling’s aeronautical heritage dating back to the 1930s.

With its legible dial, robust case, and distinctive rotating bezel, it celebrates the spirit of aviation and pays tribute to four legendary aircraft: the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, de Havilland Mosquito, Vought F4U Corsair, and North American P-51 Mustang.
